New highly hydrophobic fluorinated oligoamides were synthesized and studied as materials for the protection of non-varnishable wooden artifacts. The new designed to achieve best performance (including high chemical affinity wood material) lowest environmental impact. In order minimize risk bioaccumulation, short perfluoroalkyl side chains reacted with oligoethylene L-tartaramide (ET), adipamide-L-tartaramide (ETA), succinamide-L-tartaramide (EST), succinamide (ES), oligodiethylenetriamino-L-tartaramide (DT). Favorable reaction conditions also adopted obtain low molecular weight compounds characterized by non-film-forming properties solubility or dispersibility in environmentally friendly organic solvents.
